Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a stretching technique used by many Olympic Athletes & Professional Dancers.  AIS activates the opposite muscle being stretched to create movement similar to the sport or activity you are preparing to perform.  By actively moving through your body's ranges of motion you are also preparing the circulatory/ nervous systems while stretching your muscles and connective tissue in a healthier way.

Qigong (pronounced chee gong) is an eastern energy exercise similar to Tai Chi based on the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Through simple movements, breathing, and imagery, you will learn how to harness and move energy (Qi) through the body.  Once the energy is revived and flowing, you will learn how to store it in the body to create a sort of energy reserve.  These are the same exercises that give groups like the Shaolin Monks such internal martial power.  Once your Qi is in balance you will also experience a stronger  immune system, a more calm / focused mind, and a heightened sense of awareness.
