Pilates is an exercise that was developed by Joseph Pilates in order to help rehabilitate wounded World War I soldiers.  It is a mindful workout that builds strength and flexibility from head to toe by engaging the postural muscles along the spine & core before moving that elongated power to the limbs. Joseph Pilates put a strong emphasis on moving the spine in all of its available directions while stabilizing the body to help avoid injuries.  Pilates is performed with the breath and a yoga type flow that will leave you feeling energized, strong, & flexible.
