At Toledo Ballet Pilates & Wellness you will learn one of the most complete exercise regimens you have ever experienced nuturing mind, body, & spirit.  By using the combination of Pilates, Qigong, Therapeutic Stretching, Functional Movement, and Bodyweight Exercises, you will gain more strength, power, coordination, & flexibility- all with a strong focus on mind / body connection to help you avoid injuries!    




Qigong (Pronounced Chee Gung) is a simple yet profound set of exercises that helps to move, balance, and properly store the body's energy (Qi).  Most people are more famililar with Taijiquan (Tai Chi) which is actually a Qigong form with Martial Art aplications and focus.  



At Toledo Ballet Pilates & Wellness you will learn the following wai dan (external elixir) Qigong practices:


                                         -  Warm-up / Tao Yin (Self Massage to increase / move Qi)

                                         -  Zhan Zhuang (pronounced Jam Jong) standing meditation to calm the mind 

                                             and to build a strongly rooted physical foundation. 

                                         -  Eight Pieces of Brocade (Ba Duan Jin) to activate blood circulation,

                                             balance Qi, strengthen internal organs, enhance immune system, 

                                             and increase overall energy. 


                                         Qigong is a wonderful practice to add to your workouts or it can be done as an                                                    internal / external exercise set on its own.  It is perfect for all ages & levels!
